DIY Foaming Hand Soap

If you’re tired of the store-bought foaming hand soaps that can add up in cost and have questionable ingredients, then this DIY foaming hand soap is for you!
Prep Time10 minutes

Materials

  • 1/4 cup liquid castile soap unscented
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon carrier oil optional
  • 15 drops favorite essential oil
  • 1 foaming soap dispenser

Instructions

  • If you're reusing an old foaming soap dispenser, make sure it's clean and dry. If it's new, remove any packaging or labels.
  • Pour 1/4 cup of liquid castile soap into the dispenser. This will be the base of your foaming hand soap.
  • Next, pour in 1/2 cup of water, or simply fill up with water leaving 1/2 an inch at the top.
  • This is optional for extra moisturzing - add 1 teaspoon of carrier oil, such as coconut or olive oil. I don't typically do this.
  • Add 10-20 drops of your favorite essentail oils (my magic number seems to be 15.)
  • Put the lid on your dispenser, give it a good shake, and you're good to go!
