Apple Cider Vinegar Pickled Onions

This easy-to-make recipe takes just a few basic ingredients and a little time to create a tangy, crunchy topping that will complement everything from fish tacos to burgers, salads, and sandwiches. 
Prep Time 10 minutes

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 medium red onion thinly sliced

Instructions
 

  • Add the warm water, vinegar, sugar, and sea salt to a mason jar. Stire until the salt and sugar are dissoved.
  • Add the raw red onions to the vinegar mixture and let it sit out at room temperature for one hour(ish.)
  • Cover and store in the fridge!

Notes

*Make sure you thinly slice the red onions.
*Once the onions are used up you can reuse the liquid one more time! Just add more raw onions.
