- 1 Stick Butter (113 grams)
- 1 Cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips, divided (180 grams)
- 3/4 Cup Sugar (150 grams)
- 1/2 Tablespoon Vanilla Extract
- 1 Teaspoon Instant Expresso
- 2 Eggs
- 1/4 Cup Freshly Milled Flour (30 grams of wheat berries)
- 1/4 Cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder (20 grams)
- 1/2 Teaspoon Baking Powder
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line an 8x8 aluminum pan with parchment paper
Melt 1/2 cup of the chocolate chips and butter together in 30 second intervals in the microwave. Stir after each interval.
Once smooth stir in the vanilla, sugar, and expresso powder
In a seperate bowl whisk the eggs until frothy. Stir the eggs into the chocolate mixture.
Grind the flour directly into the chocolate mixture bowl and add the cocoa powder and baking powder. Stir until just combined. Stir in the remaining 1/2 cup chocolate chips.
Spread the mixture into the parchment lined baking pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Once cooled dust with powdered sugar for extra oomph!
*You can substitute all purpose flour if you can't mill your own
*Use high quality butter and cocoa powder
*If you don't have room temperature eggs, put them in a bowl of warm water while you prepare the chocolate mixture
